University of Toronto - Scarborough

The University of Toronto Scarborough (also known as U of T Scarborough or UTSC) is a satellite campus of the University of Toronto. Based in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the campus is set upon suburban parkland in the residential neighbourhood of Highland Creek.

It was established in 1964 as Scarborough College, a constituent college of the Faculty of Arts and Science. The college expanded into a mid-sized university campus following its designation as an autonomic division of the university in 1972.

The Harley J. Spiller collection comprises some 10,000 menus, business cards, restaurant matchbooks, and a variety of objects related to Chinese cookery. The majority of the menus document Chinese cuisine found in restaurants located predominantly in New York state. Menus can, however, be found from across the United States, Canada, and other international locations. File consists of three menus from Russia. Menus feature Chinese dishes. A larger menu contains a photocopy of hand written dishes and wines. Another menu contains paper sheets bound in a hardcover. The sheets have suffered water damage. Inside the menu is a note regarding Russian Rubles to US dollar conversion and a subway map of Moscow from 1993. Prices in the menu have been changed by hand using blue ink.
